personally i am agnostic. actually to be more specific i'm kind of a cross between a mild agnostic and a model agnostic. basically i believe that there is not yet enough evidence to prove the existence of a god, but through rational thought and a culmination of insight from many sources i could potentially come to my own conclusion, yet for the time being i am withhold judgment on the issue.

so my question for you is this: what are the reasons upon which you have based your foundation of faith, or the lack of for that matter, and what led you to that conclusion?

the saying ignorance is bliss has always annoyed me. how is it that any one would want to remain ignorant? how else are to suppose to make any kind of informed decision regarding life in general if you constantly are hiding your eyes from truth?

here is a true story. a 16 year old prisoner in a nazi concentraition camp was raped by a guard. knowing that any prisoner without a cap on moring parade was immediately shot, the guard stole his victim's cap. the victim knew that his only chance of life was to find a cap. so he stole the cap of another camp inmate, asleep in bed, and lived to tell the tale. the other prisoner was shot.

what would you have done?
